About the Artist
Stef Bauer is a self-taught artist with a BA in English from The Colorado College whose interest in art peaked when she traveled abroad to an Art and Architecture program in London and Florence. Her innate ability with colors and unusual patterns set the groundwork for eclectic works that have been exhibited in galleries and group shows, commissioned, and sought after by collectors in the US and internationally.Stef creates mixed media abstract paintings on paper, wood, and canvas. These paintings cross categories as her style can be described as contemporary, ethereal, and expressionist. Her art integrates color and form by layering planes that create an illusion of space; many of her paintings appear to be floating.
