Stef Bauer is a self-taught artist with a BA in English from The Colorado College whose interest in art peaked when she traveled abroad. She creates mixed media abstract paintings on paper, wood, and canvas. These paintings cross categories as her style can be described as contemporary, ethereal, and expressionist. Her art integrates color and form by layering planes that create an illusion of space; many of her paintings appear to be floating.
