About the Artist
Ever since JR Rapier was a little kid she has been making art. JR would describe her work as fluid, brilliant, perhaps dark, but spiritual when she or the viewer discovers it. She mix's landscapes and fantasy. It’s mostly about intrigue shape and color. JR finds contrast is more interesting than muted, so she makes the most out of shape and color. Some say her work is psychedelic, some say it reminds them of Georgia O’Keefe. Her paintings are representational, she paints what she sees. She finds magnificent beauty in some of the most obscure and common elements we live amongst.
